Not Quite Rosy Enough
air conditioning issueexcessive noise
The air conditioning had a mind of its own. Every night, it decided to take a vacation around midnight, only to return sometime the next day. I mentioned this situation for several mornings, but it took until my final night for any action to be taken. one night, some loud guests had a party next door at 4 AM. The noise included singing, a TV, and what I assume were spirited debates. I called reception, they said they handle it.

limited menuair conditioning
The air conditioning was centrally controlled. Each night it switched off automatically around midnight. it remained off until midday the following day. i reported this every morning, but no action was taken until my final night. also, i found the limited fixed menu in the main restaurant to be quite expensive.

the location was very central. it made it easy to walk to many attractions. i enjoyed the tranquility in the spa (it was almost empty when i visited around 9pm). the heated floor in the bathroom was a nice feature.
during my stay, the noise from the street was noticeable late into the night. the noise continued until around 3am sometimes. i heard parties and general street sounds. the fixed menu breakfast was not ideal (it arrived cold on several days).
